VPN – IT Services for D-MAVT VPN provides a way to access the ETH campus network from outside the ETH. This is a requirement to access several IT services from outside ETH locations (i.e. when you are connected to the network of an external university, a hotel WiFi network or telecommunication provider network). To use the VPN on a Windows computer, will you need the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client client. Instructions for the installation and configuration of the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client: For the login into https://sslvpn.ethz.ch and the configuration of Cisco AnyConnect use the example given below (please replace the stars*** with your ETH user name VPN zones (Public VPN zones like "guest", "student-net", "staff-net"; you will be assigned to this zone by default when you connect to the ETH network using the VPN client. An exception would be if a realm to enter a specific private VPZ zone is configured in the VPN client.
